Disadvantaged Youth and Media

Digital skills, soft skills such as critical thinking and media literacy are key skills and competences needed by today’s modern citizens, especially for youth.
According to different research, the disadvantaged group have been facing several problems in relation to media literacy. A report from the European Federation of Journalists showed that their voice is often underrepresented in the media.
Media literacy will provide the young disadvantaged youth with knowledge to become an active and informed citizen. Being inspired from this, Window Youth project was created with an aim to empower disadvantaged youth through trainings on hard skills, soft skills and media literacy to use podcasts as a tool in their local contexts in order to amplify their voices in the society.
The Window Youth team are working hard to achieve the project’s goal. Above all, we would like you to join us in this empowerment journey.
