The University of Seville (US) is one of the two public universities in the city of Seville, capital of the region of Andalusia (southern Spain). With a history spanning over 500 years and a student body exceeding 70,000, the Universidad de Sevilla is one of Spain’s oldest and second-largest universities. It offers approximately 100 undergraduate degrees and over 160 master’s programs, ranking second in Spain for patent registrations. Notable alumni include three Spanish presidents, nearly all presidents of the Andalusian region, two female ministers of the current Spanish government, essayist Blanco White, and Nobel Prize-winning author Juan Ram\u00f3n Jim\u00e9nez.
However, the Universidad de Sevilla is more than its statistics. Deeply integrated into the city of Seville, it both influences and is influenced by the city’s traditions, culture, and lifestyle. This connection may explain why over 3,600 students chose it for Erasmus exchanges last year, primarily from Italy, Germany, and France. Today, the University of Seville is an open, prestigious institution with a forward-looking perspective.
